Floral Tattoo
It's been a while, I've made a few cards. sewing things and dabbled in this and that, but didn't think about taking photo's of most of them! Anyhooo, I made this last year using one of Tim Holtz stamps, Floral Tattoo, Distress Inks, an EK Success punch, wooden embellishments, embossing powder and American seam binding.
Firstly, I made a background colour of pink. Stamped in the corners with a clear ink, sprinkled on clear embossing powder and heated. Then added a little brown and Tumbled Glass. I used this too to colour the ribbon and one of the wooden embellishments. One of these I left plain, while the other I coloured pink. The two coloured shapes looked like they could do with a bit of bling, so I used Inkssentials watermark ink on them, sprinkled over embossing powder and glitter - nicely blingy.
The lace border is a punch, and inked with pink and brown. The ribbon runs underneath it to help the border stand out a bit.
I used another of Tim Holtz stamps for the message. This was stamped onto white card and cut out using a Spellbinder die. While the die was still in place a inked the inside a little so it had a white border. How did I achieve the red heart? I inked just that part of the stamp in red ink and the rest in brown. Then I used a Versamark pen and drew over just the heart and sprinkled it with clear embossing powder. Finally, drawing over the word "magic" with a Stickles glue.
