Glow in the Dark Skull

Glow in the Dark Skull

The is an 8 x8" card.

The background is mostly Dusty Concord Distress Ink with Black Soot blended into the corners.  The Stampendous cog stamp is stamped using black Archival ink.

The skull stamp is inked and stamped onto black card and embossed with Stampendous Glow in the Dark embossing powder, it really makes the skull come out in an eerie way when the lights go down!!  A little bit of chalk was added to the black card too, creating a smoke effect, tho' it's lost in the photo.

The cracked glass effect is made from a piece of clear plastic packaging, embossed with a Tim Holtz Shattered embossing folder.  The plastic is coloured on the reverse with Ranger Alcohol Inks, to make the glass look "dirty" and enhanced the cracked effect.  A hole is cut into it so the skull can be seen more clearly.

The shattered glass is supported by a card frame distressed and coloured to look like old paint.  A moss effect is added to the corners using Flower Soft.  The large spider in the corner is a Spellbinders Spider Web die

A variety of different dies were used to make this 8 x8" card.

The background to the scene is coloured using Distress Inks, applied with brushes.

The DoCrafts Build a Scene dies were cut from a DoCrafts green toned A4 paper set and layered.  Some of the flowers are coloured using pens.  The acorns and heart have gilding flakes applied to them.

The large tree was cut from white card using Spellbinders Just Swinging die, cut out from the die frame and coloured using Promarkers.

The Di-Versions Pedal Power die was cut out of white card and coloured with Promakers too.

The words "Enjoy the Ride!" stamp is part of a Darkroom Door rubber stamp set - Enjoy the Ride!!

Tattered Lace Flower Card Two

Tattered Lace Flower Card Two

The flower image was cut out from the same page of the 6 x 6" K&Co paper pad as Card One.  It was a bit more tricky to cut the image to fit the frame due to the open nature of this Tattered Lace frame.  A knife was better than scissors!

The added flowers were inked and cut out using a Sizzix make a flower die with Stickles glitter glue in the centres.

The Happy Birthday is a Tattered Lace die and is glittered with Stickles too.

The white base card is coloured with Distress Inks to tone into the background of the original K&Co image
