It's been a long time since I posted!
I created this piece of work by using parts of different Groovi Plates, trying to line them up and adding a few freehand lines - scary! The main image is from combining Groovi Rowers plate and Groovi Fisherman Round. The corner details are from two Groovi border plates, Half Tone (circles) used by choosing the different sizes in a mixed way and the Groovi Border Plate Ocean Swirls. I coloured the back with oil pastels and dorso oil, I've not done this before, so it was a learning experience.
When mounting on the card, I wanted to show the corners clearly, so I needed a dark card. Also, I wanted to display the coloured area clearly too without it being drowned out by the dark card. Then I remembered seeing somewhere about part mounting onto a different coloured card. So I used white card cut in a circle, sized to fit within the coloured area. I used Perga Glue to fix it place onto the parchment. Then I glued this to the card.
