Daffodil Decoupage

Lots of things going on since the start of the year.  Mostly helping family members and looking at an opportunity for myself.  News on this to follow . . .

Okay, now to focus on this pretty card.  I’m not sure how colours appear on different computer screens, or how my camera captures the picture; the background card is a very pale green and square.
It’s made with decoupage and peel-offs.
I chose dark pink paper to layer the printed squares onto as I thought it went nicely with the pink flowers.

Firstly, I placed the top square on the card, then the bottom square and finally the central one, to try to make the spaces equal.  As you can see, there was quite a large gap between the middle square to the top and bottom ones, which wasn’t the plan!
I placed the the decoupage picture at the bottom and placed the butterfly peel-off on the same coloured paper as the panel on the left and cut it out.  Curved the wings and and found its place on the card.
However, the card looked like it was lacking something, so I added a straight peel-off at the side, leaving about half a strip left.  What to do with that?  Pop it on the onside and finish with little shapes?  It looked okay, so pressed them down to stick.  I had some slightly larger peel offs of these which worked nicely between the daffodil panels and seemed to bring the card together.  Then I put another peel off at the side of the pink panel.
Finishing off with the greeting and a flower.  In case you’re wondering I used silicon for the decoupage and to adhere the butterfly and single pink flower.
